Joey Graziadei missed his regular underwear last night on Dancing With the Stars.
Graziadei, 29, opened up about his first experience wearing a dance belt during Disney Night of DWTS, which aired on Tuesday, October 22. “I am so uncomfortable right now,” he told Good Morning America following his group dance to “121” from The Goofy Movie. (For the uninitiated, a dance belt is a male undergarment that smoothes one’s manhood. Most feature a thong design.)
“I was really hoping that [my] Tarzan [costume] would be what we’d be doing press in,” Graziadei added, referencing his shirtless and leather pants look from earlier in the night, which he wore while dancing a Samba to “Trashin’ the Camp” from Tarzan with Jenna Johnson. “I’d be colder, but this is a very uncomfortable outfit for me.”
The Bachelor alum explained that because the neon-green jumpsuit had a “very exposing downstairs region,” he had to wear the dance belt to “pull everything together.”
“It’s a big moment for him,” Johnson, 30, noted.
“I feel like it’s a right of passage. I would never choose to wear one again,” Graziadei continued. “It feels very uncomfortable. We are at a strong eight [out of ten] of uncomfortable feeling right now. I’ve never felt this much pressure in my life.”
Johnson then laughed, joking that the conversation was totally appropriate for the show’s innocent Disney Night episode.
Graziadei and Johnson ended up scoring a 25 out of 30 for their Samba and a 27 out of 30 for their group dance, which also starred Ilona Maher and pro Alan Bersten, Chandler Kinney and pro Brandon Armstrong and Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber.
However, Phaedra Parks and pro Val Chmerkovskiy got eliminated. The competition is getting fierce!
Dancing With the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
