Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Evan Phillips found his No. 1 fan in wife Elizabeth Phillips — and they’re just getting started.
Evan was selected in the 2015 MLB draft by the Atlanta Braves, playing on their minor league team for three years before being called up to the majors. The athlete made his Braves debut in July 2018, before being traded to the Baltimore Orioles that same month.
While his career was in flux, Elizabeth turned out to be his constant. Evan hard launched their relationship in a July 2018 Instagram post celebrating his baseball milestone.
“It was a dream come true to make my MLB debut at Yankee Stadium. I’m so thankful for the @braves for giving me this opportunity,” Evan wrote at the time. “And I’m so glad my family and @lizdevita were able to see it. I’ll never forget this moment! #chopon.”
Elizabeth remained by Evan’s side through two additional major league team changes before the pitcher signed with the Dodgers in August 2021. Three seasons in — and a marriage and baby later — the couple celebrated Evan going to his first World Series in October 2024.
