Kyle Richards and some of her The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars are not too happy with Mauricio Umansky’s desk photo swap.
“After I talked to Kyle, she seemed a little down,” Sutton Stracke told Kathy Hilton and Erika Jayne during the Tuesday, November 26, episode of RHOBH. “There was a story she told me about a picture.”
Mauricio, 54, apparently “replaced the picture” in his office of himself and Kyle, 55, with “the woman from Dancing With the Stars,” according to Sutton. She was, of course, referring to Emma Slater who was paired with Mauricio during DWTS season 32 last year.
“Where? What are you talking about?” Erika, 52, replied. Sutton clarified, saying, “In the office in their house.”
In her confessional, Sutton said that Kyle was “hurt” by Mauricio’s actions.
Us Weekly confirmed in July 2023 that Kyle and Mauricio had split after 27 years of marriage. Shortly thereafter, he and Emma, 35, were romantically linked after photos of them holding hands went viral. However, they both denied anything went down between them.
“Are you serious?” Kathy, 65, replied. Erika added, “Well, that isn’t right.”
Kathy added, “It would be one thing to take it down. But then to put that up? Come on.”
Erika further weighed in on the situation during her confessional.
“Why are you replacing a picture of your wife with your Dancing With the Stars partner? All that’s gonna do is make people talk more,” she stated. “It doesn’t help, it actually hurts. Then again, [estranged husband] Tom [Girardi] had a picture of who he was f—ing underneath his desk and there she was. So, who am I to judge. Happened to me.”
To lift Kyle’s spirits, the three women surprised her with a make-your-own pizza party. They later discussed the status of Kyle’s separation — and if she has any plans to file for divorce. (Spoiler alert, she doesn’t.)
“We only have the utmost respect for each other through this process,” Kyle told her friends.
“So many people are just used to seeing and hearing about nasty divorces, fighting over custody and money. It’s just the norm,” Kyle explained in her confessional. “I don’t think our marriage was, maybe, the norm. I don’t think our family and what we have and what we built is necessarily the norm. Maybe that’s pompous of me, I don’t know. Maybe we’re a little different.”
As the women left Kyle’s house, Sutton stopped and looked into Mauricio’s office.
“Does that feel weird, the desk?” she asked. Kyle responded, “Yeah, it feels weird that my picture was taken down too.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
