NEW YORK (WABC) — “Trick or Streets” makes its spook-tacular return once again to New York City!
The program is celebrating its third anniversary, which will feature more than 100 car-free events across the five boroughs. In partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation, the city throughout the month will activate Open Streets, plazas and other corridors to allow people to participate in Halloween-themed events by giving them access to safe, car-free pedestrian spaces.
“‘Trick-or-Streets’ is back and bigger than ever-and we invite all New Yorkers to take part in an event this month!” said NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez. “Our streets serve all New Yorkers-and ‘Trick-or-Streets’ is a great example of how we can use them to bring joy and greater safety to so many children.”
New Yorkers can look forward to Trick or Streets events in every borough.
Events are also planned into November to celebrate the Mexican holiday of Día De Los Muertos, or “Day of the Dead.”
For more information about Trick-or-Streets events and locations across the city, you can visit the NYC Department of Transportation website.
